Atmosphere is such an important for sale adjunct to a great meal. Souza Lobo is a large, airy, well laid out restaurant, with an un-fussy rustic charm. Tables with red tablecloths and rattan woven benches, woven lacquered coconut matting below the Mangalore tiled roof. It has to be un-fussy because the beach around us provides unbeatable décor. Remember Calangute is the Queen of all beaches of Goa.

Customer"Hotel Adi Sonar Bangla facing the main beach in Calangute, is an established favourite and the quality of the seafood is hard to beat, though it's not cheap. Fish Curry Rice is Rs.60/-, Pompfret with Prawns is Rs.190/- and Lobster dishes top Rs.700/-.

CustomerRecently visited Souza Lobo with family and tried out the revamped food and bar menu. Must say that we were pleased with the portions, presentation and of course the taste of everything we ordered. I'm usually a non vegetarian but surprisingly we gorged on the cheese garlic naans and dal fry that blew our minds. We did try some xenanios and prawns which were absolutely delicious.

The pink guava mocktail was very refreshing too. Can't wait to try out some more of the traditional preparations.

Customer"This is by far the best eatery on Calangute Beach Goa. The red snapper and Goan prawn curry are fabulous. The Chinese and tandoori items are also equally good. Beer is of the best quality. There is live music through the evenings.
AC seating area and seating on the foyer overlooking the beach are the 2 options available. Pretty crowded though, couple of times had to wait to get a table. Must visit at Goa, Calangute beach
